Participants sought for research on health and wellbeing of frontline responders

In recent years, there has been growing awareness of the significant impact that cumulative exposure to trauma can have on individuals working on the frontline to combat child sexual abuse and exploitation online. These frontline responders include those involved in content moderation on online platforms, content analysis for hotlines, providing psychosocial support to victim-survivors, and investigating suspected cases of online child sexual abuse and exploitation.

WeProtect Global Alliance are partnering with the Virtual Global Taskforce (an international alliance of 15 dedicated law enforcement agencies) to conduct research on the health and wellbeing of frontline responders.

The research aims to understand the health, wellbeing and work impacts of this work, assess work-related risk and protective factors and provide recommendations to enhance work practices, build resilience and improve staff retention.

Participants would be required to part in a 60-minute interview online. All responses will remain anonymous and confidential.

Frontline responders interested in taking part in this research to shape future support for these vital roles, can read more about the research and register their interest online. The call for participants closes at 17.00 BST on Friday 23 August 2024.
